Lynn
Geisler Takes Lernerville Checkers for 109th
Time! |
| Sarver, PA
(August 3, 2012)
With his son and World Racing Group exec Ben
Geisler in attendance for a rare visit with his
family, Lynn Geisler strapped into the #1
Cochran Late Model and started on the pole
alongside John Garvin Jr. With 108 wins to his
credit, the future Hall of Famer knows the way
to Sheetz Victory Lane, but it’s been three full
seasons since he’s driven there; though he does
have wins as car owner of Mike Pegher Jr.’s Pro
Late Model during that time. After taking a
quick lead and being dominant on restarts,
Geisler led 23 of 25 laps to score his 109th
career feature win to help celebrate the recent
acquisition of the former Charapp
Ford/Dodge/Jeep along Route 28 just a few miles
south of the track; now the #1 Cochran Allegheny
Valley MegaCenter!

Picks Up Career Win #71 at Pittsburgh's PA Motor
Speedway |
|
PITTSBURGH, PA - JULY
9, 2011 - Sixty year old Lynn Geisler, Cranberry
Township PA showed there is nothing slowing him
down in picking up his 71st all time
PPMS Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Super Late Model
DIRTcar win. Jim Stephans and Lynn Geisler
brought the field down for the start, with third
starting Mike Johnson grabbing the lead at the
drop of the green. Geisler moved into second
with Jim Stephans and Mike Davis following. For
the next 18 laps Johnson looked like he had
things going his way in the non -stop event,
with a several car length margin over Geisler.
But as the race wore on Johnson's tires began to
go, and Geisler's got better and on lap 19
Geisler swept by for the lead in turns three and
four and led the rest of the way. Mike Johnson
held off Jim Stephans for second, with Mike
Davis holding off last week's winner Brandon
Burgoon and Steve Baker for fourth, followed by
Ben Miley, Mike Norris, Mike Basich, and John
Garvin Jr. The heats went to Mike Norris and
Steve Baker.
